Located in the beautiful Carool, NSW, nestled on 73 pristine acres in the Tweed hinterland and only 20 minutes from the Gold Coast airport. We’re on the lookout for an individual who is passionate, enthusiastic, self-motivated, highly organized and thrives in a collaborative team environment. This is a hands-on role on a rotating roster across multiple venues.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of event coordinating experience: Your experience is invaluable.

1st or 2nd year Apprentice Chef | Full Time

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic 1st or 2nd-year Apprentice Chef, to become part of our professional and hard-working kitchen team, at our award-winning wedding venues nestled in the hills of northern NSW, only 15 minutes from Coolangatta. You will be working under a team of skilled Chefs, who will teach you all aspects of the kitchen, assisting you to provide quality dishes in a fast-paced function environment. With the opportunity to move through the ranks as the business expands.

As we are set on 70+ acres of land we deliver a paddock to plate experience, with our established fruit and vegetable crops, the desired applicant will be ready to get their hands dirty assisting in harvesting and maintaining our produce from time-to-time.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A strong passion for food
  • An outgoing and hard-working attitude
  • High attention to detail and be actively seeking to improve your skills
  • To learn and comply with hygiene, safe food handling and the ability to meet special dietary requirements
  • Own transport
  • To be available to work weekends, public holidays and nighttime functions
  • To comply at all times with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • To undertake an apprentice training course, complete your qualification/s and achieve personal development

As an Apprentice Chef within our team, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of high-quality dishes
  • Working as part of the kitchen team under the direction of our Chefs
  • Having an interest in development and progression
  • To successfully deliver a unique paddock to plate experience

Certificate: SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Apprenticeship term: Up to 36 months
